Does distance matter?
How close i am to a person really doesnt matter to the distance is it not? I can be thousand miles apart but still be in touch every moment and you can be next door but still feel far...
As an english proverb goes - "As you sow, so shall you reap"....May be this is true in relationships as well.....How much ever you give, so much you get back!!

No, I don't think distance matters.
By being in touch, do you refer to staying in contact with someone, or to feeling some connection with a person in a way that goes beyond words?
I think part of what you've written in the end is true - the level of reciprocation you receive in a relationship depends on what you put into it...
I also feel there is a touch of mystery to it - a part where what brings two people together can never be explained - case in point - PY and Sri Yukteswar. In other words, it may not be possible to make a relationship 'work'. I don't think we can reduce this to a theory.
